Keith Ritter Joined Keller Williams Realty in February of 1999 after attending a Keller Williams Realty¬†family Reunion in Anaheim, California at Disneyland of all places to have a Family Reunion¬†(Other Real Estate Company’s would called this their Annual Convention). Keller Williams Realty lead by Gary Keller¬†¬†got it right¬† it was truly a Family Reunion. A Real Estate company who truly put their agents first? I was so¬†impressed and joined Keller Williams Realty a week later.
After a long career at Home Depot Inc.,¬†Keith left Home Depot in¬†1997.¬† Keith started in 1987 as a garden¬†department employee, knowing nothing about plants or even gardening when Home Depot Inc.¬†only had 50 stores and was working for¬†$6 dollars an hour. After as short time Keith was promoted to department manager of Home Depot’s¬†Hardware Department (once again knowing¬†nothing about¬†hardware department). After a year of managing the hardware department, Keith was promoted to the Assistant Store Manager and was transfer to help open the new¬†Mesa, Arizona store.¬†¬†Six months after the store was opened they ask Keith to help grow the company and go open the first store in the North East. After a few months Keith ¬†was promoted to store manager and later¬†was promoted ¬†to human resources manager where he ¬†move to New Jersey to help grow that market.¬†While in¬†the Michigan market he met his beautiful wife.¬†It was at that time where¬†Keith asked to transfer back to Arizona, and his transfer¬†was granted. Keith and Lesley were married and quickly moved back to Arizona .
We tell you this story because Home Depot Inc. was like one big family, a company who put their employees first, all employees owned a piece of the company (stocks, ESOP, 401k etc.) a company who based  raises promotions, etc. on MERIT excellent training, just a great place to work !
You could say when Keith left Home Depot Inc., he had ¬†lived or experienced¬†the American Dream……
Back To Keller Williams Realty Inc.;
In February of 1999, while Keith attended a Keller Williams Realty Family Reunion in Anaheim California, Keith was so impressed and honored to join a company that reminded him of his Home Depot Experience. Keller Williams Realty lead by Gary Keller  (who Gary Keller reminded Keith of Bernie Marcus &  Arthur Blank, Founders of Home Depot Inc.)  got it right,  it was truly a Family Reunion. A Real Estate Company who truly put their agents first. I was so impressed and joined Keller Williams Realty a week Later.
